Character Flaws Abound
*** continued from previous post ***
Your mom had been chatting, (I KNOW! Where was my anti-social bride? Oh Great White North - what have you done with her personality? You've taken her soul, isn't that enough?), with Julie and Jackie but turned her attention to me upon hearing her name. She's quite nosey like that. A character flaw that I've come to overlook.
"Are you talking about me?"
"He said you get lost. A lot," Terrence offered, then smiled at me.
Ah. A worthy adversary. Well played good Sir. Well played.
"It's okay honey, we're amongst friends. You won't be judged for your directional
deficiencies."
I patted her on the arm and looked at Robert and Terrence. "Women," I said, as if that explained everything.
Mom directed her attention to Julie and Jackie, and with a warm smile said, "Excuse me a moment while I kill my husband." She turned to me, then looked at Robert and Terrence. "Ask him who booked our trip and planned our route and was in charge of the GPS as well as driving the bike."
I leaned close to the men and stage-whispered, "She gets confused quite easily poor thing."
Ignoring me Terrance spoke directly to your mom, "I take it he did."
"Yes," Mom said, "yes he did."
